Over the Jemez Mountains and through the woods

Over the long weekend, Bill decided we all needed to jump in the truck for a ride.  I am not usually up for rides especially long ones, but with a little bit of complaining at first we started on our way.   We did make a side trip to the Kewa Pueblo for the Indian Art Market.  We had lunch there. Bill got some really hot green chile stew and the boys enjoyed fry bread with powdered sugar.  I had some really good taquitos.   My biggest problem with drives in the mountains is the anxiety I feel when I look over and there is nothing there.  It really makes me nervous.  I just close my eyes and pray.  But after a few switchbacks, we saw some really pretty flowers, some cool rock formations and just had a good time listening to the boys laugh.  We ended the day with a treat for the boys with dinner at McD’s

Love that fry bread
Bill's stew was a little bit of meat and a whole lot of green chiles.

A tunnel and a really nice looking truck. 😉
Only one vehicle at a time. Honking your horn is a must to let everyone know you are coming through.

Looks like you all had a good day overall. Even if you like me don’t care for those mountainous narrow road drives.
